Pacita's Adoption Story
My name is Pacita I am twenty-five years old and have three children and raising two of them on my own with only little help from my dad. So, imagine my shock when I found out I was pregnant with my fourth child at six months pregnant. I was in disbelief and considered about what I was going to do because I knew I was already struggling to get the things my children needed.
I decided to sit down with my best friend who is my dad and talk about all of my options and often talking to him I started looking into adoption and I decided that was the best for my unborn child so that he wouldn’t have to struggle to get what he needed. The day I had my son was a happy but sad day, because that is the day my adoption flight.
Giving my son up for adoption is and was the hardest decision I have ever had to make but the right one, it is an emotional decision. I know that a piece of me will always feel like it is missing but I know that the decision I made was the right one.
Adoption is a good thing to think about when considering your options especially if you have circumstances beyond your control or etc… Think about what is in the child’s best interest and make sure it is your decision not anyone else’s decision or opinions that made you come to your conclusion, but I feel and know that I made the right decision and choice for my child.
Sincerely,
Pacita
