We have two homes - the home we currently live in, which is in the sunny state of Florida, and our forever home in North Carolina, where we plan on moving after the adoption is finalized.

Our North Carolina home is a two-story house with a fenced in back yard. It is nestled on a 120-acre farm that has four ponds fed by natural springs, and a landscape that has been lovingly nurtured and preserved by Michelle's family for multiple generations. The property is shared with two of Michelle's uncles, her sister, and their families which creates a safe family-oriented location. There are multiple horses, dogs, and cats living on the property and across the highway is a herd of cows.

Our community believes in the power of connection and togetherness, which is why we actively participate in multiple festivals throughout the year. These celebrations are more than mere gatherings; they are joyous affirmations of our diverse heritages and the bonds that unite us. Each festival is an opportunity to embrace our roots, share our stories, and create a sense of belonging that resonates deeply within all of us. From the vibrant colors of cultural parades to the mouth-watering aromas of traditional foods, these events are a true celebration of our shared experiences.

Throughout the adoption process, our close-knit family have been a source of encouragement and support, showcasing the profound impact that love and unity can have during such a transformative journey.

Several members of Michelle's side of the family, including her sister and aunt who live next door, look forward to a new addition to the family farm which has always been a sanctuary of cherished memories. Our niece, who will grow up just a stone's throw away, has been one of the most enthusiastic voices in our discussions, constantly asking where her baby cousin is. Her innocent curiosity serves as a reminder of the future that awaits us, filled with laughter and playtime, as we envision the countless moments that will shape their lives and ours.

David's side of the family live a few hours from us, and we enjoy spending long weekends with them. Most Saturdays, you can find us either cheering on our favorite football teams or shopping at the local farmer's market.

The feeling that comes when all our loved ones are under one roof having fun and enjoying festivities is truly magical. David's passion for grilling outdoors complements Michelle's enthusiasm for baking family favorites.
