We believe that raising a child would be our most important role in life. We have so many great memories of love, laughter, and fun growing up that we want to give a child. Our family has a loving home and is ready to have a child brighten it even more. Considering our family would mean that your child would be happy, healthy, and thrive in a caring environment.

We are excited to love unconditionally and provide a child with the opportunity to uncover their interests, talents, and creativity. We look forward to sharing special bonding moments with the child from Day #1 so they will always feel supported. We anticipate being able to watch a child grow - from their first steps, to their growing imagination and creativity, and to seeing the adults they become and their impact on the world. We desire to show the child how to love, respect others, extend forgiveness, accept responsibility, work through hard things together, enjoy life, and bring light and love to others.

Most importantly, we strive to raise a kind-hearted individual who believes in who they are and is open to the world around them. We look forward to being able to guide the child through different stages of life and to be there to witness how amazing their journey is as they grow and become their own person. We promise to provide them with an opportunity to an amazing education and support them in following their ambitions and dreams.

We love road tripping and can't wait to include a child on our future adventures. It is on our lifetime bucket list to visit as many states as possible in the US. Jamie loves researching fun things for us to do and she is always planning ahead so we visit the best of the best spots for food, fun, and scenery. When we take long car rides, we switch off playing "radio DJ" every hour or so and it is always a good time to have a variety of music to get us to our destination.

As a couple, we commit to monthly date nights consisting of a meal and an activity. Some of our favorites have been going to live music venues, supporting our Chicago sport teams, bowling, comedy clubs, museums, antique and specialty shopping, mini golfing, axe throwing, trivia and bingo nights, and just exploring new fun places and things to do locally. We also enjoy cooking together with music, watching TV and movies on the couch with our pup, and having game nights at home. We both share great joy in spending time with family and friends as often as possible.

As individuals, Mike's hobbies include golfing, fishing, woodworking, building model cars, home improvement projects, yard work, and just being outdoors. Jamie's hobbies include decorating, event planning, cooking, reading, coloring, crafts, word search puzzles, watching TV and movies, and browsing Pinterest for recipes, home decorating and self-care content, and even future child activities and ideas.

Jamie About Mike: Mike can be a little quiet at first but he is young at heart and loves to have fun. His laugh makes you want to laugh along with him. He is never afraid to try anything at least once! Mike has a lighthearted outlook on life and sees the positive in any situation. He does not sweat the small stuff! He is the first to volunteer himself to help others and is reliable and dependable in even a moment's notice. Mike will be an incredible involved father and is excited about being a positive role model for a child and shaping the person they will become.

Mike About Jamie: Jamie is my best friend and has been there for me through anything and everything. Jamie is beautiful inside and out and is the most kind and caring person I have ever met. When she loves, she loves with her whole heart and is devoted to those she cares about. Jamie always wants the best for everyone and will do anything she can to help others. Jamie has turned our house into a home full of love and upholds true family values. Jamie is always looking for fun things for us to do and enjoys planning outings for us and our families. She has already even started a Pinterest board of activities and family experiences to do with our future child! Her greatest fulfillment is seeing others happy and she would be the most amazing mom because she is so loving, dedicated, and nurturing.

Our home is a fun place to be and there is always something going on! We live in a tree lined neighborhood in the western suburbs of Chicago. Jamie just loves decorating our home inside and outside for all holidays and seasons and Mike takes great pride in our landscaping and planting. Everyone that comes over always says that they feel right at home and that our house is very welcoming and inviting with all of our personal touches. There are several families with children living on our block and we have wonderful neighbors that would love to see a child playing in our yard.

There are several beautiful parks within walking distance of our home along with playgrounds, splash pads, and aquatic centers in neighboring towns. Our location is also near play centers, adventure parks, a children's museum, train park, botanical gardens, walking trails, and zoos that we would love to take the child to. Our local park district offers playgroups, day camp, and early childhood/youth activities. It also hosts summer concerts, festivals, a Fourth of July parade, outdoor movie nights, and other family events year-round. Our local library offers reading clubs, story times, and various classes and activities for kids and families. It also recognizes diversity by acknowledging all cultural holidays and heritage months with guest speakers, activities, and media displays that focus on pride and awareness. Our community has so many things to do with kids and we are looking forward to experiencing it all.

As part of our core values, family is very important to us. We are blessed to have a large immediate family, which means more love to give to a child. If placed in our family, your child will be spoiled triple by three sets of grandparents plus 2 aunts, 3 uncles, and 1 cousin. Our families live nearby and we enjoy spending as much time with them as we can. We also have close extended family and friends who we have grown up with us through all walks of life.

We regularly spend holidays and time in the summer with Mike's family at their lake house in Indiana. Some activities we do at the lake house are wading in the lake, boating, fishing, bonfires, playing cornhole, visiting the drive-in movie theatre and Albanese Candy Factory to get some sweet goodies, and attending local festivals such as the Bass Lake Fest, Popcorn Fest, Pierogi Fest, Blueberry Fest, and more.

Jamie's parents have both remarried so her family is so wonderfully blended in a unique way. We regularly spend time with them getting together for dinners, game nights, swimming, doggy playdates, and doing fun activities like going to the pumpkin patch, apple picking, the zoo, Christmas light drives, themed parties, cooking/baking together, doing crafts, and more!

Everyone is so excited and supportive of our adoption plan. They cannot wait to be part of the child's life and look forward to showering him or her with lots of love, hugs, and kisses!

We believe a true family is bound together by love regardless of how we came to be. We always knew that parenthood was something that we wanted for our family. Difficulty getting pregnant and then a high-risk pregnancy that resulted in an unfortunate miscarriage brought us to the pathway of adoption. We are here writing to you in hopes that you will consider choosing us to love and raise your child. Life does not always take you down the road you planned, sometimes there are unexpected twists and turns that bring you to the exact unexpected place you need to be. We are so hopeful that we can share this place with you and your family, navigating through it all together.

We are very excited for all the possibilities of the future. We have been together for almost 19 years and married for a little over 11 years. We have basically grown up together as adults and both experienced and supported each other through so many of life's ups and downs during this time. We have found incredible strength not only in each other but also in our greatest support system, which are our close-knit families and friends. It would mean the world to them to see us as parents and to add to the joy and love that we already share together.

We know you want with your whole heart for your child to have a loving home and bright future and it is our most sincere promise to provide exactly that. We want to offer your child love, laughter, and a home for them to be the best version of themselves. If you decide to include us in your adoption journey, we promise to do our best to raise the child to be someone you'll be proud of. It is also our promise to love, support, and care for him or her unconditionally. Your child will be adored and welcomed into our family with open arms. Adoption will be talked about openly in our home and we will answer all of their questions to the best of our ability. Your child will always know you had their best interest in mind and heart from the beginning.
