Brock & Emily
We believe that adoption is a beautiful thing and one that we do not take lightly. We appreciate you taking the time to view our profile and consider us as possible parents for your child. We have so much love and support to offer a child and consider it a true blessing that you are considering an adoption plan for your baby.
Adoption in Our Lives
From Emily: Adoption has always been on my heart since I was 12 years old. My older sister, Anna, had a baby just after her 17th birthday. She was not ready to parent a baby at such a young age. She chose adoption for her son and it was one of the most difficult and beautiful things I have ever witnessed. I actually have the adoption profile book that his parents made 24 years ago along with all of the photos and updates they sent. It has been so encouraging to look at.
Just two years ago we connected on a genetics app and have been in communication ever since. I have also helped him connect with several other family members including my sister (his mom). Adoption can be the most beautiful thing. We plan to have open communication about adoption with our child. We want them to know how loved they are by their birth mother and us as well.
Our Leisure Time
In our spare time we love to golf, travel, fish, and spend time with family and friends. We are fortunate to own our own company and create flexibility in our lives. Because of this we are able to spend a lot of quality time together and look forward to adding a baby to this dynamic.
Golf has been so therapeutic for us to do as a couple. We enjoy giving each other little tips to improve our game. We don't keep score though because we truly just enjoy playing together and being outdoors.
Almost every weekend is spent at our pool with family and friends. Every evening, we play basketball in our driveway and let the dogs run and play. We both grew up playing basketball so it's fun to compete a little bit!
We are so excited to introduce a child to some of our passions, while curating theirs.
Our Pups - Duke, Daisy & Dwight
Our pets are our life right now. We have 3 golden retrievers that we spoil rotten. Duke is 8 years old and such a good boy. He is a BIG boy at 93 pounds. His love language is other people and giving all the puppy kisses. It's an absolute blast watching him run with all of our friend's and family's children. He was honestly born to be a family dog.
Daisy is almost 8 years old and is a good mix of sweet and stubborn. She is strong willed and does what she wants, which we secretly love. She is only 70 pounds compared to Duke. Her love language is fetch and tennis balls. We think she might love fetch more than us sometimes.
Last is Dwight who is 2 years old. Yes, he is named after Dwight from the office and his name fits him perfectly. He is a little goof ball that is scared of everything. He and Daisy actually share a father (years apart)and he follows her around like a puppy. She secretly loves it.

Our House and Neighborhood
We live in a great college town in Arkansas, where we have lived our whole lives. We live in a fairly small community of about 20 homes. Since there a fewer homes, all of the houses sit on 2 or more acres. We really like having a large yard for our dogs to play and our future child. There are several children in our neighborhood and everyone is so excited about bringing another little one to play. We have a neighborhood pond that we like to fish often.
Our home is 4 bedrooms, a bonus room that we intend to use as the playroom, Brock's office, and 3.5 bathrooms. We also have a pool that we use all summer long with friends and family. We spend the majority of our time in the living room watching movies or in the kitchen cooking. We have pool parties almost every weekend in the summer and Brock grills out for everyone. Sometimes when we have a lot of kids over we'll order pizzas and eat poolside (or in the pool for some!) It has been a core memory for so many of the children in our lives and for us too. We are so excited to decorate nursery and bring a baby home!
Our Extended Families
We are so fortunate to have our families close by. Brock's parents live 20 minutes away and are always willing to help. He has one sister who lives about 30 minutes away with her husband and 4 kids. He also has a lot of extended family that live very close as well. We host them all every year on Christmas Day and for pool parties in the summer.
Emily's sister, brother, and mom all live within 10 minutes of us. Her sister Anna and niece Gemma (8) spend a lot of time with us at the pool. Emily is one of 4 kids and her youngest sister lives in NYC with her husband and 3 year old son. They visit often and there will likely be trips to NYC to visit them. Emily's family loves to play games when they get together. We have several friends that feel like family and we love our community. We love to host our family and friends at the pool or around the holidays.
From Us to You
We want to thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile and getting to know a little bit about us! We know that this is a very difficult decision for you and one that we do not take lightly. Your bravery and compassion to allow us the opportunity to join you and your child in this journey is indescribable.
Our story is unique but we are really proud off it. We met and started dating when we were just 15 and 17 years old in high school. We got married in 2006 in a small beach ceremony with just our closest friends and family. (We both hate being the center of attention) We are best friends and rarely do anything without each other. We even work together everyday building beautiful homes for people. We are both dog lovers and have 3 of the sweetest golden retriever pups in the world.
Our faith is what drives our family and every decision we make. We have prayed over this journey we are on for years. We have been attending church together since we started dating. We were baptized together shortly after we got married. Since that time it has been the center of our family. Our goal is to raise a Christian family that has a big love for Jesus.
A few years after we got married we decided we wanted to grow as a family. We love each other very much but unfortunately our love was not able to bring a child of our own. Despite not being able to have our own child we know that we are meant to be parents. God has equipped us with everything that we need to be great parents and offer an amazing life to a baby. We dream of the days swimming in our pool, cooking in our kitchen, and making memories with our friends and families. We will help foster any passion that they have and try to honor what they love to do no matter what. Your baby will be loved unconditionally and have all of the resources they will need. We love traveling to the mountains, so we see many hiking, fishing, and skiing trips.
For Emily, after watching her sister choose adoption for her son 24 years ago and now going through this ourselves is surreal. She knew even at such a young age what a brave thing that was. Now, as an adult, she sees even more how brave, beautiful, and inspiring that was. It has also been such a blessing to reconnect with her son after all those years. It has truly been a full circle moment for us. We are open to as much communication with you as you would like. We will send photos and updates as much as we can.
We are so excited to become parents for the first time! We will raise your child to be respectful, hard working, and courageous. We will encourage them to express themselves and protect their mental health. These are things we find extremely important in our own lives and would love to share those traits with a child. We will always make sure they know how much you love them, care for them, and what you sacrificed to give them the best life possible.
Sincerely,
Brock & Emily
