Raul & Terri
We want to start off by expressing gratitude for reading our profile. We truly believe that adoption is a gift to us to be able to share our love and expand our family. It would be a great blessing that you choose us to be the child's parents. We pray and hope for your consideration and look forward to the beautiful journey ahead.
Our Family

We love being parents and we are looking forward to sharing our lives with another child.
We have a 4-year-old daughter named Emma and also an adult daughter named Andrea. Andrea is a young woman enjoying her independence. She is working at a local bakery as she figures out her dream career for the future. Andrea enjoy spending time with Emma whenever time is permitted due to her busy schedule. The children have a loving and strong bond with each other, despite the age gap. Emma loves to spend time with her older sister, and is also looking forward to having a new little sibling to play with!
We have discussed with the children the decision to adopt and they welcomed the idea from the start. All of our children will always have that sibling bond now and forever. They will have each other for support and encouragement through all of life's ups and downs. Both Andrea and Emma are excited and look forward to adding a sibling to the mix.
Our Leisure Time

We enjoy our leisure time by taking quarterly trips to our second home in St. Petersburg, Florida. We enjoy family adventures driving there or flying out for long weekends. As we have a close family, most weekends are also spent having BBQs and gatherings with family and friends. Terri enjoys cooking for all the family events. She loves learning new recipes to try to make, either baking or cooking for family and friends. These moments in life enjoying the time with loved ones are most memorable for us. We also like to spend time going to parks and museums, where we can all learn and expand our knowledge. We enjoy going downtown to explore the restaurant scenes and try out new places. We enjoy taking hikes with our children and our dog. One thing that makes our family unique is that we speak three languages in our home (English, Spanish, and Vietnamese). We want all of our children to be trilingual and be able to connect with other cultures. We look forward to sharing our love of learning other languages with our child!
Our Family Traditions

We have been together close to a decade, and we have many favorite family traditions that we have enjoyed over the years.
Some of our favorite traditions include decorating sugar cookies during the Christmas holiday season, annual Christmas pictures with Santa at the mall, and taking vacations in Florida to go to the beach around Thanksgiving week.
Aside from holiday traditions and family travels to visit family out of state, we have our Saturday morning routines. We enjoy a big breakfast most Saturday mornings that includes waffles or pancakes with eggs. It's something we all look forward to each week and is a great way to enjoy the start of the weekend.
The idea of making unforgettable memories is an important part of childhood. We enjoy creating special occasions for the family and to look forward to including another child in our future family traditions. We feel it is very important for us to share in all these special experiences as a family.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a wonderful, family friendly neighborhood. We have a traditional house with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining/living area, a basement area, a deck and patio area. Our favorite family area to hang out in is the basement, which is dedicated to family fun with toys and activities for Emma (and our future children) to play with.
Within our community area, there are many families in the neighborhood in our cul-de-sac. You can see the children playing in the area and there are a few playgrounds that we can take our family to play. Our neighbors across from the house have young children that we enjoy having playdates with. There is also a park by our house, two playground areas and also our backyard for our children to run about and play. We also have a community swimming pool during the summer months where our children can play and learn to swim with the kids.
Terri's sister lives nearby and has her annual Halloween event in her neighborhood where the neighbors have a block party for all. The children love to run around and collect candy and enjoy the fun with all the kids there.
Our Extended Families

We have a close-knit family. Both of our parents live in the area and we are lucky to be able to visit and hangout with them over the weekends. We often host gatherings such as birthdays, holiday parties and other events to come together to celebrate as a family.

We always come together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our kids, niece and nephews love to bake and decorate cookies, and we like to do cookie exchanges with family and friends for the holidays. During the summer months, we travel to local beaches and amusement parks together.
This child will be loved and cherished by our family and everyone is so excited for our family to grow!
From Us to You

We want to thank you for allowing us the opportunity to give you a glimpse into our family. We want you to know that we understand the difficult decision that you are considering. If you choose adoption, we would be honored if you chose us to become a part of your child's life and to be a part of your journey. We believe everything happens for a reason and that growing our family through adoption is God's path for us.
We have been together for a decade. Although we have different backgrounds, the Latin and Asian cultures are all very familiar. We value our family and supporting our families. We have a close knit family that is supportive of our decision to adopt. We take care of our families, if they need help, we are there and vice versa. We have always intended to expand our family and welcomed the idea of adoption from the start of this journey.
Currently, Terri works from home and has a flexible schedule that allows her to be available for our daughter. Raul has a 9-5 routine, but is present for the family when he's home. It's important to us that our children get the attention they need at a young age. We want to be able to provide them everything possible so they know they are loved and cherish by us.
As we look forward to this journey of having another child join our family, we want you to know we value family, being respectful, emphasizing strong positive character and work ethnic for our family. We intend to raise our children to develop their strengths and reach for the stars through any challenges they may face. We will be supportive and encourage our children in their interests and endeavors. Our close families and friends look forward to being part of the child's upbringing. They are looking forward to meeting the newest family member and being involved in any aspects to help as necessary.
We will have open contact with the birth parents in anyway that they feel comfortable; email exchanges, phone calls, etc. as you so desire. We will provide updates about the child through pictures and/or communication exchanges throughout their milestones. We want this arrangement to be positive for the child and the birth parents always. We are grateful for this opportunity to be able to expand our family.
Thank you kindly from the bottom of our hearts! We cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation as to the opportunity to be the child's adoptive parents. It will be a surreal moment when that time comes for us.
Sincerely,
Raul & Terri
