When Mike and Rhonda decided to join American Adoptions to adopt, they had no idea they’d have twins in their future! They became active in March 2012 and just a few months later in June, they got a call about a potential opportunity with twin boys who were already born. Being selected felt like fate:
“Rhonda was on a business trip in Memphis, and Mike was on a business trip in Houston. We spoke with their birth mother several times through conference calls and were told that we were in her top three of choices as parents. The next morning, as Rhonda spoke with their mother again, she shared how the boys had been born on her birthday. The woman was speechless for a moment and then said that this seemed meant to be. About 10 minutes later, Rhonda received the amazing and life-changing phone call that she had chosen us as parents and that we had less than 18 hours to arrive in Florida!!” they wrote to us.
The couple spent several weeks in Florida where their sons were born but returned home just in time to celebrate Mike’s first Father’s Day!
