The first time a parent and child meet is a life-changing moment. If you managed to capture that moment on camera, we want to see it!

We’re inviting American Adoptions birth and adoptive parents to submit their “Love at First Sight” photos and videos for our 2023 Valentine’s Day photo contest. We’re excited to see your very first moments as a family, whenever they were captured. Any adorable Valentine’s themed photos/videos are also welcome!

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Email your favorite video or photo of you and your child(ren) that shows your first look adoption moment to editors@americanadoptions.com. One entry per family, please!
  2. Title your email as “Love at First Sight Photo/Video Contest.”
  3. In the body of the email, please include your name and your children’s name(s). You can also include a description of the photo/video. (Last names will not be published.)
  4. You can also DM or tag us in a video on Facebook or Instagram.

All Submissions for the Love at First Sight Photo/Video Contest must be submitted by 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, February 16. 

The winners of the contest will be selected by you! Photo/Video submissions will be posted on our Facebook page once the deadline closes, where you, your friends and your family can vote for your favorite photo/video with a Like. Keep in mind: Comments and shares will not be counted, so make sure to direct your voters to the original photo/video to tally their Like.

Voting will close at 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, February 23. Winners will be announced in the next week on our blog. Photos/Videos will also be featured on our Instagram page, Tik Tok page and in our American Adoptions newsletter.
