The first time a parent and child meet is a life-changing moment. We want to see that truly amazing, special moment in adoption when you laid eyes on and held your baby for the first time.
We’re inviting American Adoptions birth and adoptive parents to submit their “First Look” photos and videos for our first ever 2022 First Look Photo/Video Contest. We’re excited to see your very first photos as a family, whenever they were captured.
Here’s how to enter:
- Email your favorite video or photo of you and your child(ren) that shows your first look adoption moment to editors@americanadoptions.com. One entry per family, please!
- Title your email as “First Look Photo/Video Contest.”
- In the body of the email, please include your name and your children’s name(s). You can also include a description of the photo/video. (Last names will not be published.
- You can also DM or tag us in a video on Facebook or Instagram.
All Submissions for the First Look Photo/Video Contest must be submitted by 5 p.m. CST on Wednesday, September 21.
The winners of the contest will be selected by you! Photo/Video submissions will be posted on our Facebook page once the deadline closes, where you, your friends and your family can vote for your favorite photo/video with a Like. Keep in mind: Comments and shares will not be counted, so make sure to direct your voters to the original photo/video to tally their Like.
Voting will close at 5 p.m. CST on Wednesday, September 28. Winners will be announced the next day on our blog. Photos/Videos will also be featured on our Instagram page, Tik Tok page and in our American Adoptions newsletter.
