The first time a parent and child meet is a life-changing moment. If you managed to capture that moment on camera, we want to see it!
We’re inviting American Adoptions birth and adoptive parents to submit their “Love at First Sight” photos for our 2022 Valentine’s Day photo contest. We’re excited to see your very first photos as a family, whenever they were captured.
Want to submit your photo? Here are our contest rules:
- You must be an adoptive parent that adopted through or a birth parent that placed through American Adoptions.
- Email your favorite photo (one photo per child and family, please!) that shows your “Love at First Sight” adoption moment to editors@americanadoptions.com.
- Title your email as “Photo Contest.”
- In the body of the email, please include your name, your child’s name(s) and ages. You may also include a brief description. Example: John Smith, age 2 — Parents: Robert and Jane Smith
All photos must be submitted by 5 p.m. CST on Monday, Feb. 14.
Winners will be selected by you! Submissions that meet entry criteria will be posted to our Facebook page after the deadline has passed (first names and ages only). Then, you, your family and friends will be able to vote for your favorite photo with a “like.” Comments and shares will not be counted; only reactions on the original photo will be tallied.
Voting will close at 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Winners will be announced the next day on our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as on our blog and in our newsletter.
We will also be posting a video on YouTube of all the submissions after we announce the winner.
