Whether your holiday season is spent with a layer of snow or the only trees you’re hanging ornaments on are of the palm variety, there’s just something special about the month of December. So, we want to see your kiddos in their winter wonderland — whatever that may be.
For our inaugural Winter Wonderland Photo Contest, we’re sending out a call for American Adoptions alumni enjoying the snow, the sand, and everything in between. We know everyone celebrates the holidays a little differently — and we want to see your traditions!
Today, those who have worked with our agency to place their children for adoption or add to their families can submit their photos for our new contest. Winners will be announced in a few weeks on our blog and social media accounts.
Here’s how to enter:
- Email your favorite holiday photo of you (birth parent) or your child(ren) to editors@americanadoptions.com. One photo per family, please!
- Title your email as “Photo Contest.”
- In the body of the email, please include your name, your children’s name(s) and ages. Example: John Smith, Age 2 – Parents: Robert and Jane Smith. You can also include a description of the photo, such as the family tradition you take part in.
Submissions are due at 5 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 17.
Once all submissions have been received, the photos will be posted in an album on our Facebook page for you and all of your friends to vote on. Simply “like” your favorite photo to vote (you can vote for more than one!), but comments and shares will not be counted.
Voting will close at 5 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 24. Winners will be announced the next day. Photos will also be featured on our Instagram page and in our American Adoptions newsletter.
We will also be posting a video on YouTube of all the submissions after we announce the winner. Thank you for following us on Facebook and don’t forget to subscribe and turn on notifications (click the bell) on our YouTube channel so you’ll never miss a post. https://www.youtube.com/user/AmericanAdoptions
We can’t wait to see all of your photos. Good luck, and happy holidays!
