As we look ahead to the coming year, the staff at American Adoptions knows that, like life, there will be ups and downs. We know there will be difficulties, and some families’ determination and faith will be tested. But, more importantly, there will be many more successes and wonderful adoption stories for our adoptive parents and birth mothers. Just one reflection or look at any of last year’s completed adoptions, and you can see why we’re excited to be a part of the adoption world.

Today, on Global Family Day, we hope you all look forward with hope and joy, peace and happiness to the New Year and imagine what may come in the next months. We want to thank all of you for reading our blog and newsletter and for sharing your thoughts. The more we can all learn from each other about adoption and its profound effects on the lives it touches, the more we can work to better the world of adoption for years to come.

In the coming year, we look forward to expanding our services and work toward improvements for adoptive families and birth parents alike. We promise to keep:

  • Providing information and education through continued improvements and updates our website, newsletter, social media and this blog
  • Offering services that honor the wishes of birth mothers and adoptive families and ease the adoption process for everyone involved, from beginning to end
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with other adoption professionals so that our families have more opportunity to be selected by a birth mother and so that birth mothers have the greatest chance of finding a family that is the perfect fit for their child
  • Protecting the financial interests of adoptive families by offering our limited risk program and re-examining our fees, so that every deserving family has the opportunity to adopt
  • Looking for opportunities to expand our reach to birth mothers and adoptive families alike, through new media ventures and friendships with adoption professionals
  • Providing increased funding for deserving women through our birth mother scholarship fund
