Today marks the beginning of National Adoption Month!
November is designated to celebrate adoption across the country and create adoption awareness. Many newborns, young children and teens in the United States are currently seeking a permanent home and a permanent family. This year’s theme for adoption month is “Build Capacity to Make Lasting Change.” Adoption professionals across the country will work this month with this mantra especially in mind.
American Adoptions is excited to kick off our celebration of Adoption Month this November with the official launch of our blog! Adoption brings so many families together, and we hope that this blog will be just another way to bring our American Adoptions family together as well.
We hope you will find this a resource for you to ask questions, to find tips for parenting, to get to know our staff and to connect with other adoptive families or birth mothers. We’ll blog stories about birth mothers and adoptive families just like you and share news and fun facts about the adoption world. You’ll also be able to find information about our seminars and events. And it will be just another way for us to share pop-up adoption situations, or cases in which a baby needs a home immediately.
If there’s anything you’d like to see on the blog, or if you’re talking about adoption out in the blogosphere, we’d love to hear about it!
Happy Adoption Month from American Adoptions!
